MORE ABOUT MEI-LI
Mei-Li (pronounced May Lee) is a singer/songwriter, music lover of the 80’s & 90’s, and grew up in Los Angeles during the height of the 90’s grunge era. She plays ‘Alanis’ in our band, and sings all the emotions and makes sure to get all the vocal inflection of the lyrics to her songs. Studying for this project has made her more of a fan for Alanis. She was in her late teens early 20’s when Jagged Little Pill was released, and like most women of that time, was inspired by the meanings of the songs.
